When applied to buildlings...

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is "a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation."

Toward achieving that end, the USGBC has created an official rating system for building called LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

USGBC also hosts a website dedicated specifically to Green Homes.

Las Vegas Chapter

The Las Vegas Chapter of USGBC caters primarily to architects, contractors, builders, interior designers, recyclers, and similar professionals.
